is FREE. For additional Commercial lines the PICC fee is $3.25/line.
FCC imposed USF fee is 7.71%.
Q. Do I need to confirm the order?
A. All residential orders for customers in California and South Dakota
must be voice verified regardless of whether or not an offline order
has been submitted. The customer may use the voice verification
system which is already in place, or may verify by using the new

given and reported on the LOA by the customer/agent. Commercial
accounts will not be effected by this new process.
Q. How does the 100 FREE Minutes work?
A. You will receive up to 100 FREE state-to-state minutes
on your sixth months bill. If you make less than
100 minutes of 1+ interstate long distance calls,
we will only credit you the amount of minutes you
actually used, up to but not more than 100 minutes.
Q. How do we offer such low rates?
A. OPEX is a carrier. We buy our network in bulk from
a large nationwide network provider called Global Crossing.
Since we buy in such bulk, our rates are deeply
discounted. We do not have the high advertising costs
of a major carrier, so we pass along the savings to our
customers. It also allows us to spend our money to provide
better service.
Q. How will I know if I'm switched to OPEX?
A. Just call (toll free) 1-700-555-OPEX (6739). If the
order has been provisioned and switched properly you
will hear "Thank you for making OPEX your Long distance
company". If it has been more than 72 hours and this
is not the case please check to see if you have a
pic FREEze on the line with your local phone company.

measured (and billed) in 18/6 (18 second minimum then
